"Keeta"
was the first Siberian Husky that I met. I was asked to handle him because
his owner was a novice and didn't have a clue what to do in the show ring.
I handled him through to his Australian Champion Title before the owner felt
comfortable enough to take over. He then went on to his Grand Champion
Title.
"Keeta"
being a typical Siberian was not an easy dog to handle. He would fidget on
the spot and it didn't take much to send him into a bouncing ball of energy who
would not gait, preferring just to bounce around the ring. He
tried my patience but it was hard to get upset with that face looking up at you.
I took
"Keeta" into the Show Ring for his first show. I was asked if I
would like to take him into the Show Ring for the last time. "Keeta's"
final time in the ring was at a "Specialty Veteran's Parade" and I
handled him with pride.
"Keeta"
is gone now but his memory still lives on.
